Flower Crown Workshop | Bloomon & Obby

On Sunday 13th August, my best friend Sophie and I attended an incredible workshop in London in exchange for an honest blog review. After receiving a generous email to attend a beautiful flower crown workshop, courtesy of the wonderful Obby team, we jumped at the opportunity! We absolutely love to travel to London together (maybe not the constant tube hopping but hey ho, it is certainly worth it!) For those of you who haven't heard of them, Obby are an amazing company that collate all the fabulous creative workshops currently available in and around London, make them readily available for you on their website and allow you to safely purchase tickets to some super innovative work shops and classes. From cocktail making to perfume creating, Obby have a vast range of different opportunities that will suit anyone of all ages. There are so many beauty, food, craft and photography classes I would be surprised if you couldn't find something that interested you!

We arrived in Battersea just on time, walking into the beautifully decorated Square Gallery. The room was very rustic, with wooden furniture and flowers arranged in buckets. Not only was the scenery inside amazing, the area they chose to hold the workshop was ideal - unfortunately, Sophie and I couldn't stay long but the streets were stunning and there were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby if we wanted to stop for a spot of lunch before heading home. On arrival, the Bloomon team greeted us with a friendly welcome and instantly offered drinks. I had a glass of white wine and Sophie opted for a soft drink. Everything in the room had a perfect touch and suited the Bloomon floral style down to a T.

There were roughly 8 people in our class, including ourselves, so we received a lot of attention which was useful and extremely worth the money you would pay for the class. We had a lovely chat with the woman who ran the class; she walked us swiftly through the process at the beginning and we were glad to find that the flower crown making wasn't as difficult as anticipated. She even informed us that we could make our own at home if we bought the required tape and accessories from Amazon! Who wants Sophie and I to film us make one on our Youtube channels?! We would love to do it because it was super fun. One of the men helping out also took some cute shots of Sophie and I mid-crown making. It was nice to let off some steam, relax and get inspired with the crafty task at hand.

Both of us were super proud of our final products - mine definitely escalated as we proceeded but I still love it! I composed a mixture of blues, pinks with a hint of orange. Sophie opted for a more warm-toned flower range - I think her crown compliments her hair gorgeously and I love how our finished pieces match our personalities! At any given opportunity, I ask Soph to snap a few photos of me and what is more convenient than a bright blue house opposite the venue?! Thank you to Sophie, as always, for doing a little mini photoshoot of me with my flower crown whilst the queuing traffic stared at me extremely confused...haha!
